When the building becomes part of the brand

Can the place you work influence the work you create? We think it can.

twcreative® has been based in the same Grade II listed building since we launched in 1989. A former stables and coach house. It wasn't designed to be a creative agency, but somehow it feels like the perfect place for one. Because creativity needs character.

A space with a story

We're influenced by the things around us every day. The spaces we work in, the people we work alongside, the things we notice and the experiences we collect all feed into how we think.

At twcreative®, we’re inspired by the beautiful characterful space around us, once a stable and coach house from the 17th century, with original features from exposed beams to Georgian windows.

That's why we're drawn to brands where the physical space is part of the story.

Liberty London is a great example. Its iconic building isn't simply somewhere the brand happens to operate. Its architecture, craftsmanship and sense of history are woven into the experience. The building tells you something about Liberty before you've even seen what's inside.

The same principle applies to brands more broadly. The strongest identities often come from what's already there: history, personality, culture and the things that make an organisation different.

Rather than designing over character, we think good creative finds it and brings it to life.

Different ideas, under one roof

And perhaps that's what makes our own studio such an inspiring place to work.

Every day, everyone is working on something completely different.

One desk might be developing social ads for a new gaming client. Across the studio, someone is working on a re-brand and website launch featuring classic cars. Meanwhile, there's presentations and print being designed for an insurance event.

Different clients. Different industries. Different challenges. Different creative languages.

But all happening in the same space.

There's something energising about that variety. Ideas get overheard. Someone spots something on another person's screen. A conversation about one brief sparks an idea for another. We're constantly exposed to work we wouldn't necessarily be doing ourselves.

The building gives us the character.

The people and the variety bring it to life.

More than a workplace

The building has history, the work brings constant change and the team fills the space with ideas every day. It's a combination we wouldn't want to lose.

In a world where so much of brand experience happens digitally, there's something invaluable about having a physical place with texture, personality and a point of view. A place that, in its own small way, makes you want to be curious.

And perhaps that's why our Grade II listed building has been home to twcreative® for so long.

It's not just where we work. It's part of how we work.
